I have to agree with jonileth - good use of color (or lack thereof, to an extent. The red really stands out).
Also all that dead space both centering the focus on you and giving this sense of distance/emptiness

I don't know what it is, but something about this picture just caught my eye. It's got a simple elegance to it. I don't know whether there were any touch-ups done to it to give it that grey contrast or if it was simply the way the photo was taken but it is a very nice effect. Well done.
